PRODUCT DESIGN / DEVELOPER ROLE

This role calls for an imaginative individual to be responsible for
delivering outstanding, manufacturable product design solutions. A creative
nature should display the ability to brainstorm and problem solve.
 
Strong sketching and storyboarding is desirable and the ability to make the
products (real¹ through use of 3d software (pref 3DS Max) and Photoshop is
paramount. Generating technical specifications for quoting, sampling and
manufacturing is essential.
 
Most important is the ability to handle multiple projects and remain cool
under pressure while working in multi-disciplinary project teams with
graphics, sales and production members.
 
To be successful in this role you must have commercial awareness coupled
with the capacity to communicate your In-depth knowledge and understanding
of materials and production processes.

Ok so I need to give my anonymous backtack buddy some clues for what sort of crafts I'd like to try.
it's kinda like christmas - i'm a terrible person to buy presents for so I usually spare douglas the hassle and say I want X. Instead of doing that for my backtack buddy I'll post a list of crafts & things that inspire me and let them choose which one is something they have a connection with or something like that!

1. Embroidery - I have the basics for this, and a basic knowledge but I love - the look of this book and I've never tried crewel work!

2. Needle felting - I'm quite certain I'll stab my fingers but I've marvelled over everyone's wonderful creations and I'd love to give it a go!

3. Quilting - I have mountains of fabric - mainly colour cordinated because I'm obsessive! - and I've kinda avoided quilting because of the level of quilting and the general tackiness of a lot of things - then i discover japanese quilting and the combination of stitched textures and many beautiful white on white creations has me drooling!

here's some other things you should know
allergies... you know, like I'm pretty violently allergic to the combination of purple and yellow, especially with a black overprint as I discovered when I recieved last back tacks fabric :| fluffy yarn - actually any yarn at all because i have amountain of last season crochet wool that is hurting my eyes!

obsessions - tone on tone work - white on white - linen - my blythe dolls - paper models - beautiful things - stationary -


food fetishes... chocolate - bollied lollies - tea

about me - I have a stay at home illustrator boyfriend and two cats i work 9-5 as a sourcing manager, i crochet, sew, bookbind, and embroider. I can't knit, I've tried many times, but I end up with a ball of tension in my shoulders and cramps in my fingers. I have very little drawing talent as well.

After a marathon customising jag, my fluffity-puffity mohair Marshmallow is finished!
